The eye-catching shirt dress is hand-dyed in Indonesia. The relaxed design holds a loose-fitted silhouette with a round collar and a button down front and buttoned sleeves.
When making the hazey print, the fabric is wrinkled tight, so it looks like a tiny football. A cotton string is then gathered tightly around the ‘football’ so only a few spots of the fabric is visible. The ‘football’ is then carefully dip-dyed in a tub of colour. Due to the tied fabric, the dye turns out very characteristic and unique. In-between each dip-dye the fabric is dried in the warm Bali sun, making it a process that takes time.
All Rabens Saloner dyes are created by hand and heart in their own dye house in Bali. Here they work and collaborate with the most skilled local artisans, who have carried on the expertise of dying techniques for generations. Each product is unique – that is the beauty of things made by hand and heart.
Relaxed fit, but true to size. The model is 175 cm tall and wears a size S
